Vela Icaraizinho

Currently closed Brazilian center that pioneered watersports at Icaraizinho with lagoon and wave conditions.

Currently temporarily closed due to international travel restrictions, Vela Icaraizinho was a pioneering watersports center at Icaraizinho in Brazil. As the first watersports operation in the area, Vela Icaraizinho was able to select the optimal location at the tip of the bay, providing launch access in all tide conditions. The center was uniquely positioned to offer both flat water sailing inside the protected lagoon and wave sailing over the reef, giving riders diverse conditions within one location. The facility featured the latest JP, Starboard, and Neilpryde windsurfing equipment, along with Cabrinha kitesurfing gear for lessons and rentals. The center was notable for its spacious, comfortable property dotted with palm trees and featuring a full-service bar and restaurant. All activities followed ISO safety standards with professional team support and rescue services. The center offered comprehensive kitesurfing programs with safety surveillance and distinctive 4x4 kite jeep downwind trips. While currently closed, the center represents Vela's commitment to establishing operations in premium wind sport locations with optimal conditions and comprehensive facilities for both accommodation and watersports instruction.
