STIFF Windsurfing School (Now KONA SURF)

Originally operating as STIFF Windsurfing School & Shop in Chiba for over 20 years, this established institution has transitioned to continue operations through Tateyama Marine Activity Center "KONA SURF" while maintaining online retail services. STIFF built its reputation as a stylish pro shop that was "beginner-friendly, fun for intermediates, and satisfying for experts." The school specialized in instruction at Chiba Port Park, utilizing the protected artificial beach surrounded by breakwaters that provided ideal learning conditions with minimal wave action even in windy conditions. This unique venue allowed students of all ages and abilities, including women and older participants, to learn safely without being overwhelmed by challenging sea conditions. STIFF's teaching philosophy emphasized that windsurfing should be accessible to everyone, supported by modern equipment innovations and progressive instruction techniques.
